Hole in sidewalk lies in wait for unsuspecting pedestrians

No matter how well-intended by Toronto staff, placing pylons or traffic barrels around a hazard to warn people away is a poor fix, writes The Fixer Jack Lakey. They never seem to stay where they’re supposed to for long, leaving the hazard unmarked.
