As unique as The 100 is, there are plenty of other storylines that have similar themes within comics. From comics about groups of diverse teens to stories about the end of the world, other-worldly planets, and survival, there are other comics to read; many of which can help fill the void left by The 100's finale.

10 Last Pick by Jason Waltz

Last Pick is a science-fiction dystopian comic series that takes place after aliens have invaded earth and abducted all of humanity, leaving behind those that are elderly, disabled, or too young to be of use. Forced to fend for themselves, a pair of teen siblings decide to prove the aliens wrong and fight back.

Fans of The 100 who love the themes of survival and the idea of few humans left alone having to create their own society would enjoy Last Pick as it has many similar themes.

9 The Shadow Threat by Claudia Gray

The Shadow Threat is a DC comic book that takes place on planet Krypton, before its destruction and before the birth of Superman. This story follows future leader Zahn and soldier Sera as the two join forces to figure out what's really causing their planet to become unstable.

As the two become close, they must find a way to survive together as Krypton is threatened. This is a perfect read for a young adult audience who enjoys apocalyptic storylines, characters from different backgrounds working together, and uncovering mysteries.

8 Morning Glories by Nick Spencer

In Morning Glories, six new students arrive at a prestigious boarding school, only to find that the school was not what they expected. As some students go missing or end up dying, they realize they are trapped there and are being used by a secret organization, but they have no clue why.

Similar to The 100, this comic has a group of teenagers who are put into a mysterious situation and find themselves having to fight for survival. Each character has a unique personality but must work together to make it out alive.

7 Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn

Just as the name entails, Y: The Last Man follows Yordick Brown, who is seemingly the last man alive on Earth after a deadly virus wiped out everyone who carries the Y chromosome. Unsure of why he managed to survive, he goes on an adventure to uncover the reasons for his survival and find his missing girlfriend.

This comic has similarities to The 100 because both stories have limited people on Earth, humans struggling to survive after life-altering events, and science fiction elements.

6 Avengers Arena by Dennis Hopeless

When 16 superpowered teenagers are put on an island and forced to fight and be the last remaining survivor, plenty of drama and violence ensues in this battle royal Marvel comic.

Even though this story has more superhero elements to it than The 100, this comic is very reminiscent of the show because of the teenage drama, the fight for survival and building alliances, and a group of people isolated in strange territory. Fans of both The 100 and The Hunger Games would certainly enjoy this.

5 Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughn

Paper Girls has plenty of themes that fans of The 100 would adore. It follows a young group of girls who discover mysterious secrets in their town while delivering the newspaper.

This comic has similarities to The 100 because it's a story full of science fiction, otherworldly beings, and follows an intriguing group of teens. There's also plenty of Stranger Things vibes here as well due to it taking place in the '80s. Fans can also look forward to an adaptation of Paper Girls coming to Amazon Prime.

4 Runaways by Brian K. Vaughn

Marvel fans might know the Runaways from the TV show but it's also based on comic books that are equally as enticing. This comic series follows a group of teens as they discover their parents are part of a malicious cult and decide to run away from home and prevent their parent's evil plans.

These comics are full of action and romance just like The 100, despite having a differing storyline. Any fan who loves the angst and drama in The 100 would definitely enjoy Runaways.

3 Snowpiercer: The Escape by Jacques Lob

Snowpiercer has a similar concept to The 100, except this comic takes place on a train. After earth has gone through a massive snowstorm that has made it inhabitable, the last survivors reside on a train, with the rich at the front and the poor in the uncomfortable and overcrowded back.

Just like The 100, this comic is a post-apocalyptic story that follows the few remaining after Earth has gone through a major catastrophe. There have already been two adaptations of this comic, both a movie and more recently a Snowpiercer series on TNT.

2 Wolverine: Old Man Logan by Mark Millar

After the fall of superheroes and the rise of villains, Wolverine has been missing for years on end. When his old Avenger friend Hawkeye reaches out to him, the two go on a journey to rescue his family.

Despite being a superhero comic, Old Man Logan is a classic comic book that takes place in a well-developed post-apocalyptic world. This comic is also the one on which the film Logan was based off, but this comic gets even darker than the movie.

1 Lazarus by Greg Rucka

Taking place in a dystopian wasteland, Lazarus follows Forever Carlyle, a woman whose family is of high importance and partly in control of the world. Forever is a Lazarus with regenerative powers, which means she must protect her family at all costs.

This comic features plenty of compelling women, family betrayal, a world with limited resources, and lots of intense action. Forever goes through a journey of figuring out if she's truly on the right side in this story that is the perfect critique of capitalism.
