How are NFHS playoff assignments handled where you are?

NFHS playoffs are coming up. I know in Alabama, not all referees can be assigned playoff games. It is limited but I don't know the number or percentage. I know in football officials can't do playoff games of schools covered by their association.

How are assignments handled in your state? Do you have to travel, or can you work with teams in your local area? I have no expectations as a first year NFHS official of getting a playoff game. But I am curious how they are handled in each state.
