[Softball] Kolecki hits Grand Slam; No. 19 Saint Xavier sweeps Judson in doubleheader

Elgin, Ill. – Junior infielder Kelsey Kolecki (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) was 3-for-5 on the day with a Grand Slam, her first collegiate home run, four RBI's and three runs scored to help lead No. 19 Saint Xavier University softball (19-0, 8-0 CCAC) to a doubleheader sweep of Judson University (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Friday afternoon in Elgin, Ill. The Cougars won game one, 13-0, behind a one-hit shutout by senior pitcher Allison Golic (Mentor, Ohio/Eastern Illinois/Mentor) in five innings. Golic picked up her second save of the season in game two and junior pitcher Maddie Motola (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) improved to 3-0 after pitching 2.2 innings of relief in a 7-3 win in game two. Senior catcher Brittany Schultz (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) tied a program record in game one, being hit-by-pitch three times. Former standout Kasey Kanaga (2013-16) was also hit three times on April 12, 2014 at home vs. Cardinal Stritch (Wis.)
