Wisconsin hikers turn to state parks during COVID pandemic

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Halora Kidder loves to travel - she works in the travel industry, in fact - but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, many life changes followed.

Recreation opportunities vanished. Work in the travel industry “just plummeted,” she said, so Kidder took a temporary leave from her job.
