Rand or bungee for new sprayskirt?

Hey everyone! So when I started kayaking I bought a snapdragon rivertrek, mostly because it was the cheapest neoprene skirt I could find. However, I'm afraid it could be an issue in the rivers I'm paddling, as it's only rated for light whitewater. For this reason I've been looking into getting either the IR Klingon Empire or the IR Royale.
