As of 0630, the breeze was still coming from the west at about 4 kts, while out at sea, the Waverider buoys were seeing 1.4 metres of 15-second straight south swell (176°). Tide was coming off the 0540 low as it headed to the modest 1.28 m high at 1135. There was a 40% chance of a light shower, although the radar was showing all the precipitation up near Newcastle. We should see a high of 22C along the beaches.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure is building across southern New South Wales, while a trough lingers over northeastern parts. This trough is expected to move offshore of the North Coast during the day today and move quickly east, making way for the making way for the high to ridge over the state from Sunday. From midweek, a cold front clipping the south will push a weak southerly change over southern coastal waters.
