Married At First Sight: What Iris Caldwell & Keith Are Up To In 2021
Iris Caldwell and Keith Manley were matched on season 9 of Married At First Sight. The couple experienced many issues, but what remained at the core of their troubles was Iris’ reluctance for intimacy. Iris was a virgin, but that wasn’t the issue. What bothered Keith was Iris’ immaturity when faced with intimacy. This frustrated Keith, and despite their initial attraction, it wasn’t enough to keep them together.
Both Iris and Keith came into the process with an open heart and pure intentions. The experts hoped that Keith would be understanding and patient with Iris; however, there were other issues at the heart of their relationship. They were incompatible; while Keith was okay with the fact that Iris was a virgin, he felt that she lacked experience in other departments. On decision day, although Iris wanted to stay married to Keith, he wanted a divorce. At the reunion, Iris was open to reconciliation but Keith wasn't.
Now, the former couple has moved on from their Married At First Sight journey and have done so much since the show ended. Iris regularly posts gorgeous photos on Instagram. Iris has been spending her time modeling and recently posted a bridal shoot. There may be wedding bells soon. Keith on the other hand recently finished writing a book titled Life is Just-A Walk Within. Keith said the book was inspired by his grandmother who loved writing.
Despite both of them have a similar background — they were both spiritual and religious — it wasn’t enough to keep them together. However, Iris did say she had no regrets and wishes Keith the best. Their marriage wasn’t completely bad. Iris helped Keith when he had to deal with the passing of his grandmother. So they may not have been endgame, but they were merely a season in one another's lives. Other couples from their season like Amber and Matt also chose divorce.
Iris and Keith were both good people, but even with the best of intentions some things simply don’t click. No one is at fault for the breakdown of their marriage. They just weren’t a good match, and that’s fine. Unfortunately with an experiment like Married At First Sight, which has an incredibly low success rate, couples failing is bound to happen. However, Keith and Iris will find their people, if they want to, and it will be better than they could have even imagined.
