Pokemon Go: How To Find (& Catch) Shiny Alolan Exeggutor
Shiny Alolan Exeggutor just got a lot easier to locate in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how to find and capture this Pokemon. While Pokemon Go is currently only on the 6th generation of the series with the release of Pokemon from X and Y, Alolan and Galarian forms were introduced in the game as part of a promo for the new mainline titles when they released. Once Pokemon Sun and Moon released, players were able to capture Alolan forms of older Pokemon introduced that generation. While finding them in the wild isn't impossible, it is much harder to find a handful of these Pokemon outside of special events. There is an upcoming event that will make it much easier to find a Shiny Alolan Exeggutor. This guide will show players how.
Currently, there is no method in the game that allows players to evolve an Exeggcute into an Alolan Exeggutor. Players are only able to capture it when it spawns out in the wild. Beginning on April 20th, Sustainability Week is all about Pokemon and its ties into the environment. Pokemon like Grimer and Trubbish will have their spawn rates increased for a limited time. This event will only last until April 25th. One of the lowkey benefits of this event is the return of Alolan Exegggutor, which can be found normally, but is now much easier during this event. This is how players will be able to get their hands on a Shiny Alolan Exeggutor.
During Sustainability Week (which runs from April 20th to April 25th), Alolan Exeggutor will return back to raid battles. It has the chance to appear Shiny during the capturing phase of the raid. It's a fairly powerful Dragon/Grass-type Pokemon. To defeat it, here are some of the best counters available in the game.
- Mewtwo: Psycho Cut and Ice Beam
- Kyurem: Dragon Breath and Blizzard
- Mamoswine: Power Snow and Avalanche
- Galarian Darmanitan: Ice Fang and Avalanche
- Glaceon: Frost Breath and Avalanche
- Mega Charizard Y: Wing Attack and Blast Burn
Continue to participate in Alolan Exeggutor raid battles to increase your chance of finding its Shiny version during the capturing phase. This Pokemon is a bright yellow color and this is currently one of the only ways to obtain its Shiny forms. Until they introduce a method to evolve a Shiny Exeggcute, you better get those raid passes ready.
