[Softball] Rio records sweep of Bearcats

    OWENSBORO, Ky. - The University of Rio Grande used a late offensive explosion for a game one win, while holding off a late rally in game two by host Brescia University for a sweep of the Bearcats in River States Conference softball action, Friday evening, at Kamuf Park.
    The RedStorm scored three times in the fifth inning and five times in the sixth en route to a 10-4 triumph in the opener, while hanging on for a 5-3 victory in the nightcap.
    Rio Grande improved to 27-12 overall and 12-2 in league play with the sweep.
    Brescia dropped to 5-19 overall and 4-10 in the RSC.
