The former adult entertainment star Mary Carey announced she plans to run for Governor of California if the recall effort against current Governor Gavin Newsom qualifies for the ballot, kmph.com reports.
“Like I have always done with my work, I am ready to put in the effort to get the job done,” said Carey. “I have big plans for California, and it is time for someone with a new attitude from outside of mainstream politics to lead. I can promise you – it won’t take long before all Californians will be satisfied with my job performance.”
This is not Carey’s first rodeo.
Carey ran for Governor of California in the 2003 recall election and placed 10th out of a field of over 130 candidates.
Carey is retired from making adult films and will focus solely on improving California.
