90 Day Fiancé: Jovi Reveals Why He Travels So Much For Work

0

Doting 90 Day Fiancé dad Jovi Dufren has an interesting job that allows him to travel the world, though wife Yara Zaya often disapproves, and now he's revealing why he travels so much. The power couple had enough problems while getting married, thanks to Jovi’s erratic work schedules and drinking habits. But Jovi did a 180 after welcoming baby daughter Mylah with Yara. However, Yara is not done complaining about Jovi being away for weeks, even as the cast members return to 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

It’s a known fact amongst viewers that the couple met while traveling for work. 90 Day Fiancé's Jovi and Yara connected during a trip to Budapest for a fling but ended up falling for each other as Jovi and Yara globe trotted together for six months. But Jovi’s work keeping him away was not okay for Yara, who found out she was pregnant in New Orleans when he was gone. The 90 Day Fiancé duo also had to tie the knot early, thanks to Jovi having to jet off again for his career. Not a lot is known about Jovi’s work, and his Instagram content makes him look like a travel blogger, which always keeps viewers curious.

The work-hard, party-hard attitude of 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi often peeks through on social media, as his followers often spot him eating at the coolest of restaurants or touring multiple cities within the U.S. An inquisitive fan asked Jovi what his job is and why he keeps traveling for work. In an Instagram Story, Jovi simply replied, “Underwater robotics,” and explained that they “work all over the world.” Interestingly, Jovi spoke about his job even before introducing Yara during his 90 Day Fiancé season 8 debut.

Bayou boy Jovi has spoken about his love for camo, Cajun culture, New Orleans and “partying too much,” as he revealed that he’d spent his summer on shrimp boats as a kid. 90 Day Fiancé's Jovi joked that working in underwater robotics comes from the fact that “being on a boat” is just in his blood. “We go down, we do maintenance on pipelines and everything for oil production,” Jovi mentioned. His favorite part of the job is the “travel” before adding that he’d been to 25 countries because of work. In every country, Jovi has to stay on the boat “the whole time” for 28 days straight. “I work four weeks on, four weeks off,” the 90 Day Fiancé celeb shared. During the time off, he picks a country to go to and spends his four weeks there.

On LinkedIn, Jovi mentions that he started off working as an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Pilot in September 2008 and, since April 2013, has been an ROV Supervisor at a marine services firm called C-Innovation LLC. Flexibility and the ability and willingness to travel is a must when working like 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi. Working as an ROV pilot requires a lot of traveling, as the job is mostly offshore, and he must be prepared to travel to any part of the world on short notice. So maybe it can be said that Yara wasn’t aware of what her 90 Day Fiancé partner did exactly when she decided to move to America to marry him.
