Welcome To Plathville: The Cast Members' Instagrams & What They Post
Welcome to Plathville has introduced viewers to the Plath family, and the older Plath children already have their own popular Instagram pages. Even though they were brought up without technology, the older siblings and their partners have all mastered the art of social media. Their Instagram pages reflect their personalities, from how often they post to what they choose to share with their followers.
Kim and Barry Plath - as well as the children that still live under their roof - don't have Instagram accounts, probably because it would seem hypocritical after all the self-congratulation they have given themselves about not letting their children use technology. Kim and Barry don't trust the outside world, but it would seem that their children feel okay about sharing much of their lives with the outside world not only on the show but also on Instagram.
Ethan Plath's Instagram is @ethan.plath. He hasn't posted anything since January 1st, 2021, but he used to upload a photo once every month or so. It's possible that his sheltered upbringing has made him less of a social media user. Ethan is the oldest son in the Plath family, but he does have an older sister named Hosanna who is not featured on Welcome to Plathville. Ethan mostly posts two things on his Instagram: his wife Olivia and old cars. After all, his Instagram bio states that he is a "lover of classic cars, a long list of projects, and @oliviamarieplath." Ethan is a mechanic, and his love for driving and fixing up old cars is apparent on his IG. Some of the car photos feature his wife of two years, Olivia. He often just refers to her as "sweetie" in his captions. In all, Ethan's Instagram is just as wholesome as he comes off on the show.
Olivia's Instagram is @oliviamarieplath and she is much more active on Instagram than her husband Ethan. Olivia is a wedding photographer and her grid reflects that. She often posts her own shots of her clients. When she's not posting stunning engagement and wedding photos, she's partial to uploading photos of her with Ethan, as well as professional shots of herself. Many of her posts come with long captions that she hopes will connect with her followers and let them inside her mind a bit more. On a recent post for her birthday, her three-paragraph caption let her followers know that she "already cried three times today." When one follower asked her why she was crying so often, Olivia responded, "it’s actually super healthy - I’m allowing myself to properly feel my full range of emotions, and happy and sad tears follow." At just 23 years old, Olivia's Instagram is already full of nuggets of wisdom like this.
Moriah Plath could be considered the original rebel of the family, and her Instagram reflects that. Even when she lived with her parents Kim and Barry, she wasn't afraid to express herself, and her Instagram page @moriah.jasper is full of that same self-expression. She and Micah have lived together on their own for almost a year, and she's been exploring different hairstyles and fashion choices on her IG ever since she moved out. Moriah's Instagram is also full of photos with her boyfriend Max Kallschmidt. The aspiring model seems more than happy to be the star of many of Moriah's posts. Moriah recently gave Max a shoutout for their eleven-month anniversary, writing in her caption, "11 months down with the most amazing man! @maxkall2.0 I love you." It's safe to say that Moriah will have a big photo series ready to post next month when they reach their one-year mark.
Max, whose Instagram is @maxkall2.0, often shares plenty of romantic shout-outs to Moriah on Instagram. He even has her Instagram handle in his own bio, a true sign of dedication for any young couple. When he's not commenting sweet nothings on Moriah's Instagram, he's dedicating posts to her, like one where he wrote "When the moons bright, the kisses are sweet!" Max recently let his followers know that he has a goal of benching 275 pounds before his 21st birthday. With many months to go until his birthday in November, he'll likely be posting progress videos in the future. When he's not posting gym selfies or pictures with Moriah Max makes sure to upload photos from his modeling gigs.
Micah's Instagram is @micahplath and he is also an aspiring model, as Welcome to Plathville captured during season 2. It makes sense, then, that most of his Instagram posts are comprised of modeling shots of himself. He's not afraid to show off his physique and there are many shirtless shots to be found, which many fans enjoy. He also has no problem uploading sponsored posts, including the one below where he shows off his pearly whites. The fans have recently speculated about Micah's relationship status with his girlfriend Caroline. He hasn't posted a photo with the Alabama native since their trip to Disney World twenty weeks ago. Caroline's last photo with Micah was also from their Disney trip. Speaking of trips, Micah seems to get around a lot, and his Instagram is full of photos from the many places he's traveled.
Welcome to Plathville fans have been curious about Micah's longtime family friend Helena. Her Instagram is @helena_parrish. Micah and Moriah both sent compliments her way on her latest Instagram post. The photo featured Helena in a long-sleeved bikini standing by the water. Micah commented, "Look amazing as always!!!" while his younger sister wrote, "Looking good!" Helena's Instagram shows off her adventurous side. She recently completed her first Spartan race, which is 10 kilometers, or 6 miles. Just like Micah, Helena likes to post photos from her travels, whether it's snowy mountains or the waters of Hawaii. No post of hers is safe from fans encouraging her to form a power couple with Micah Plath - but for now, Helena's Instagram remains aloof in that regard.
The members of the Plath family, their significant others, and their friends all have a special bond that is evident on their Instagram profiles. The family members often post photos with each other, and they can always be found commenting on their sibling's pictures. It definitely seems like Olivia, Max, and Helena have been embraced by every member of the Plath family that has an Instagram. If there is a season 3 of Welcome to Plathville, it would be great to see these close relationships play out on TV.
