RHOD: Why The Show Needs A Totally Different Cast ASAP

0

With The Real Housewives of Dallas final reunion episode coming up next week, viewers are hoping they proceed to season six with a completely new cast. Season five began with most of the women from the season before, plus a couple of new faces. Dr. Tiffany Moon was introduced to the women as the only new full-time cast member. She was brought onto the show through D'Andra Simmons, who met Tiffany through her mother Dee Simmons. There is talk that D'Andra may have changed her last name for money. While RHOD gained a cast member, they also lost one. LeeAnne Locken got fired ahead of season five. She was let go after she made racially insensitive remarks towards Kary Brittingham.

The Real Housewives of Dallas aired its very first season in April 2016, with original cast members Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken, Tiffany Hendra, and Cary Deuber. The first season was a great start to the series. Viewers loved the friendship between Stephanie and Brandi, as well as LeeAnne's ability to get into conflicts with literally everyone in the group. However, the show has done a complete 180, and fans are now hoping for a cast shake-up for season six.

RHOD is in desperate need of a completely new cast. Even though Bravo gave viewers one of the best new cast members to join a Housewives franchise (Tiffany Moon, MD), that probably isn't enough to hold their interest during the next season. Brandi may already be out the door after her cryptic Instagram post, which many people believed was a farewell to the show. Viewers think it's Brandi's time to exit anyway, as she played the victim following the resurfacing of her racially insensitive video. Kary Brittingham, who revealed that she is getting a divorce, didn't have a great season either. In fact, viewers considered her the bully of the season. She kept trying to get Tiffany to drink more, even when she had to work the next day. Plus, she trashed not one but two of the places they stayed at overnight.

Stephanie has always been beloved by RHOD fans, but this season, she fell a bit flat. She was very dull this season and didn't add much to the episodes. Some were surprised she wasn't demoted to "friend of" status for her lack of presence on the show. Viewers wouldn't mind if she returned, but only in a limited capacity. D'Andra Simmons has become the fan-favorite this season, so viewers may not mind if she returns. As for Kameron Westcott, she is slowly becoming another RHOD villain. Kameron blocked Tiffany Moon on social media. Kameron had confronted Tiffany about correcting her grammar. She's picking the wrong battles, which is slowly leading to her demise on the show.

All season, viewers have noticed how much The Real Housewives of Dallas is in desperate need of a cast shake-up. While nothing has been confirmed, season five has been a bit of a letdown and the ratings reflect that. However, no one likes to see a Housewives franchise get canceled (and there are cancellation rumors) so viewers are hoping that the Bravo network takes time with season six... and brings in some new blood.
