Pokémon Snap: How to Complete ‘Flopping by the Water’ Request
Players will receive a ton of different requests in Pokemon Snap. This guide will show players how to complete the 'Flopping by the Water' request. Pokemon Snap has been dormant for well over two decades without a new entry. Now in 2021, players are able to explore the new Lental region. While the game only has 6 total stages, players can unlock extra paths based on the quality of their photos. The better the photo, the more points the player will achieve. Players will want to aim to unlock 4-star photos for each of them. With over 200 Pokemon available in the game, players will have their work cut out for them. One of the ways for players to get some of the best photos in the game is by completing requests. Here is how players can complete the 'Flopping by the Water' task.
Players can take on LenTalk requests to capture specific moments from specific Pokemon. These tasks are fairly vague but provide players with a general outline of what to expect when hunting for that photo opp. In this case, this request involves both Magikarp and Pigeot. Here is what players need to do to complete this research task.
For this research task, the player will need to have reached Research Level 3 of the Florio Nature Park stage during the day. Play through the stage again and reach the point where the Bidoof are working on the dam. At this point, the dam should be completed so keep your eyes out for a Pigeot. Once it makes its way to the left side of the road, start to throw fruit at it. This will annoy it and it will make its way to a tall tree.
Now, look to the right to find a Magikarp in the water. Aim and shoot fruit over at the Magikarp. This will cause the Magikarp to sour in the air and in the moment, the Pigeot will appear and catch the Magikarp. This is the perfect opportunity to get a 4-star photo of both of these Pokemon. Make sure to capture this photo before it flies away. This will complete the 'Flopping by the Water' task. This also looks like the end of the road for that Magikarp. It's really neat to see Pokemon interact in these ways. Pay your respects to our fishy friends.
