KUWTK: Kourtney Reveals Why She Has a Love-Hate Relationship with Show

0

Kourtney Kardashian from Keeping Up with the Kardashians is clearing the air about why the show is ending, and her love-hate relationship with the show. KUWTK started airing on E! 20 seasons ago. The show launched the careers of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Audiences fell in love with not only the drama between all the family members, but the tight bond they shared that always brought them back together. They've shared the highs and lows with their fans for 14 years and started an empire.

After 14 years of appearing on a mega-hit reality show, the Kardashian clan announced they would no longer continue with the series once they wrapped filming season 20. Sharing their decision to stop filming with both the crew and the fans was captured and aired on a recent episode. At the time, Khloe, Kim and Kris Jenner were all vocal on social media. Khloe commented a broken heart emoji on an Instagram post, announcing the news, calling the decision overwhelming. Kim also confirmed the news, claiming she was ready for a break. Despite all this, it seemed as though one family member, in particular, was getting most of the blame from fans for ending the show.

When the decision to end the show was announced, fans were quick to blame Kourtney as the reason the show was ending. In last night's episode, Kourtney and Scott were discussing the end of the show, and how Kourtney feels about being the one everyone is blaming. As reported by E! News, Scott brought up that the rumors could stem from the fact that in seasons prior, Kourtney expressed how much she doesn't like filming. She and Kim even got into a fight about last season. Kourtney says these rumors bother her because she knows some people actually believe them. According to Scott, it was always a discussion that occurred at the end of every season, whether or not to renew their contracts, and Kourtney says it was bound to come to an end eventually.

Kourtney also gave some insight into how she felt during all these years of filming. She claims they had a pact from the start to continue filming, as long as everyone wanted to do it. Kourtney claimed if everyone else was happy to continue, she would have to keep going as well. According to her, she was never fully comfortable being on camera but admitted there were definitely some experiences she never would have had if the cameras weren't rolling. She says because of this, she views her relationship with the show in both a positive and negative way, calling it a love-hate relationship.

There are only a handful of episodes left before the show ends for good. The 14-episode season is soon coming to an end, with the last episode likely airing in June. It is unclear if audiences will ever see this family on screen together again, but nothing should be ruled out at this point. It's natural to want a break after providing 14 years worth of reality TV gold. However, after doing it for that long, who's to say they won't get the itch to start again sometime in the future? For now, fans can keep updated on their lives through everyone's Instagram stories. Regardless of whether they'll be back, Keeping Up With the Kardashians will always have a place in the reality TV hall of fame.
