PH logs high 10,179 recoveries from, 6,979 new cases of Covid-19

THE Philippines logged a high 10,179 recoveries from and 6,979 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Saturday, according to the Department of Health (DoH).

This puts the total number of survivors to 1.013 million or 92.5 percent of the total 1.094 million cases reported.

Meanwhile, 63,376 people, or 5.8 percent of all cases, remain active.

The national positivity rate was at 14.3 percent or 7,167 of the 50,122 tests conducted yielded positive results.

The death toll is up to 18,269,including 170 new fatalities.
