Valheim's Mystical Black Forest Brought To Life In Incredible Artwork
A talented Valheim artist has recently shared an incredible piece of art dedicated to the game’s ominous Black Forest, demonstrating the amazing attention to detail and lighting. The Black Forest biome is quite popular among players, and it’s no wonder that it has inspired many skillful artists to capture its unique atmosphere in their works.
A couple of weeks ago, a skillful illustrator decided to express their passion for Valheim by sharing an awesome artwork inspired by the game. Depicted on the amazing image was a random encounter of the Black Forest’s massive Troll who usually poses a serious threat to players. The incredible piece of art brilliantly captured the biome’s menacing atmosphere, at the same time showing how dangerous the massive blue giants with their heavy clubs are.
Redditor Seahorsey84, who happens to be both a Valheim fan and a digital artist, has shared another incredible artwork of the game’s Black Forest biome. The center of the image is occupied by a trio of mysteriously looking Greydwarves captured right in the midst of performing their silly walks, while a shady Troll’s silhouette can be seen towering in the background. But as much as the overall picture is quite impressive as a whole, it’s the little details like glowing thistles that make the art authentic and atmospheric. The incredible work faithfully recreates the sense of foreboding when looking at the Black Forest and imagining the dangerous adventures that await ahead. The picture captures everything that makes the biome so terrifying and ominous for newcomers. According to the author, they’ve been practicing creating digital art a lot lately, which is probably the reason why the recent work looks so fantastic.
Valheim’s Black Forest is no joke for underprepared Vikings who often find themselves overwhelmed with hoarding Greydwarves. Quite a sad story happened to one player who got killed after encountering a group of these hostile mobs in the biome. Enraged by such an outcome, the gamer rushed back to the forest to cut it all down, teaching the nasty Greydwarves a menacing lesson. All that’s been left of the sinister-looking, unwelcoming biome was a pile of freshly chopped logs accompanied by numerous stumps.
Amazingly, such a small indie team as Iron Gate Studios that consists of just five people managed to create such a beautiful game with a distinctive, inspiring art style as Valheim. Although deceptively simple and straightforward gameplay-wise, the survival title actually has an incredible set of features and appealing visuals. Valheim’s surging popularity is a well-deserved one, which will probably result in even more impressive artworks in the future.
Valheim is available on PC.
