French foreign minister to attend Crimean platform in Kiev
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will attend the summit of the Crimean platform, which Kiev is hosting on the eve of Independence Day
This was announced by the French ambassador to Kiev Etienne de Ponsin in a conversation with TSN. He also added that the foreign minister will take part in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s sovereignty.
“Our Foreign Minister, Mr Le Drian, will represent France both at the Crimean Platform summit and at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence”, – the diplomat said.
The ambassador pointed out that Crimea was not part of the issues of the Normandy format and the Minsk process. Thus Le Drian’s visit has only a symbolic nature.
