The Voice: Blake & Gwen Choose to Forgo Honeymoon & Head Back to Work
The Voice's Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have chosen to forgo a traditional honeymoon. Instead, the newlyweds are looking forward to jumping headfirst back into work. Fans and co-stars are looking forward t0 welcoming them back to Hollywood.
The “it” couple of NBC’s The Voice tied the knot on July 3 out in Oklahoma. Both singers first met when they were coaches on the show back in 2014. At the time, both were married, but found themselves filing for divorce back in 2015. The couple officially started dating the same year. Viewers enjoyed watching their love blossom as they often bantered while on the show. Shelton proposed to Stefani in 2021 out at their home in Oklahoma.
Even after the festivities, E! revealed that the duo would not be heading off on a tropical honeymoon. A source close to the couple revealed that after everyone left town, they spent a few days with the kids saying,"It was really relaxing, and they could let everything from the weekend sink in." Neither Stefani nor Shelton have publically commented on their big day, and viewers are waiting for the premiere episode when some details are spilled.
Sadly, weddings can’t push off work commitments, and both had to fly back to Los Angeles. But according to the source, not a lot has changed for the newlyweds, except that they can now call one another husband and wife. Fans are happy that the duo finally was able to tie the knot. Carson Daly said the ceremony was a beautiful blend of “country and glam,” which pretty much sums up the couple. The marriage is assumed to be like their relationship, quiet and low-key, and both value their privacy.
The small ceremony was beautiful, and Stefani made sure to put a special touch on everything, including her custom-made veil by Vera Wang. She sewed in Shelton’s name along with her three children, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, so they were close on the day. Both Shelton and Stefani’s love of family shined through, and The Voice fans wish them nothing but years of happiness. The No Doubt singer and the country crooner are total soulmates who have waited almost an entire lifetime to find one another. Now they can ride off into the sunset on their Oklahoma ranch and start their own fairytale together.
