Delta strain confirmed in 2 patients in Zakarpattia

The COVID-19 delta strain was laboratory confirmed in two patients of a regional infectious diseases hospital in Uzhgorod, the Internet edition Suspilne reports, citing director of the medical facility Mykhailo Poliak.

According to the report, on June 24, the hospital sent tests of individuals suspected of having the COVID Delta strain to Kyiv, from where they were sent for testing to a European laboratory. Positive results were received on July 14.

These patients arrived in Uzhgorod from St. Petersburg and Moscow (Russia). They are currently discharged from the hospital.
