S&P 500, Dow fall as jobless claims rise; IT majors boost Nasdaq

At 10:00 a.m. ET the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 62.20 points, or 0.18 per cent, at 34,735.80 and the S&P 500 was down 1.53 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 4,357.16.
