Bachelor: Taylor Nolan Sparks Outrage After Receiving Sponsorships

0

Taylor Nolan from The Bachelor managed to keep a few sponsorships following her scandal earlier in the years, and fans are not happy. In February, the former reality star was under fire after a number of old problematic tweets from her teenage years resurfaced. Many of the tweets targeted people of color, different ethnicities, and other minorities. After Taylor became aware of her old tweets, she recorded an apology on Instagram, which also received backlash from the fans.

She later shared another post where she took full responsibility for her actions and promising to do better in the future. Since then, Taylor has done her best to move on from this dark period in her life and is now using her platform to support minorities. While some of Bachelor Nation has moved on and forgiven Taylor for her past, not everyone feels the same way.

In a recent Reddit thread, a few fans spoke about their thoughts regarding Taylor receiving sponsorships again. A fan noticed the 28-year-old was posting about sponsorships again, and they weren't too happy about it. One person wrote, "why people are okay with her content? probably for the same reason people aren't bothered by colorist tweets or plantation parties...they don't care." Others suggested to stop following Taylor, who was called "the real villain" by Corrine Olympios, or keeping up with her social media presence. "Best thing to do is just unfollow her. I did and I have not one regret," another fan said. A fellow user agreed with this idea, adding that this was the best solution to the problem.

However, some viewers didn't understand how Taylor can go from being one of the most hated women in America to completely sweeping her wrong-doings under the rug. Some people pointed out how companies don't always care about how controversial a person was. "Other people who have been racists, abusers or other terrible people still get sponsors so it’s not a shock. Companies aren’t just going to never work with people who had controversies," another fan wrote. Others want to stop hearing about Taylor in their Reddit threads and to "practice what we preach and just stop talking about this woman."

Overall, Bachelor Nation should move on from Taylor's past mistakes if they don't want to hear about her anymore. Yes, she made some horrific, problematic tweets as a teenager, but she is putting in the work to learn from her past. The Bachelor fans want her to pay now that she is receiving sponsorships again; however, her past cannot be erased. If someone doesn't like her, don't keeping up with her on social media.
