It’s been over a year since the killings of Black Americans sparked a flame within the community and within the nation. The "June boom" of June 2020 witnessed historic pledges to support Black-owned businesses, the Black Lives Matter movement was again thrust into the center of the public sphere, and an avalanche of attention was centered on Black creatives and activists. Now, more than a year later, what has come of that attention and those pledges?
