German Olympic team lose to Brazil
In Yokohama, DFB coach Stefan Kuntz's team found themselves 0-3 down at half-time following a hat-trick by Everton striker, Richarlison. In the 57th minute, former TSG player Nadiem Amiri (Bayer Leverkusen) managed to pull one back to make it 1-3. Although the German team went down to ten men after Maximilian Arnold (VfL Wolfsburg) saw a second yellow card on 67 minutes, Ragnar Ache (Eintracht Frankfurt) got Germany back within one after 83 minutes. TSG star David Raum, who moved from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to Hoffenheim at the start of the season, provided the cross for Ache's header. Leverkusen's Paulinho secured the victory for the 2016 Olympic champions with his goal to make it 2-4 in the fourth minute of the injury time. Germany will meet Ivory Coast in the next match on Sunday. Ivory Coast won 2-1 against Saudi Arabia in the other game in Group D.
