It was a meh year. That said I'll nominate:
Japandroids - "Celebration Rock"
Which was a very decent record and a breakthrough for them. I still prefer "I Bet On Sky" by Dinosaur Jr. but I think it's better to mix it up some.
I quite liked 2012, I remember there being a lot of albums I liked at the time. Those being 2 of those.
