Britney Spears' Lawyer Asks for Immediate Removal of Jamie Spears as Conservator of Her Estate

Britney Spears‘ lawyer is making more moves regarding her conservatorship.

The 39-year-old Glory pop singer’s new attorney Mathew Rosengart filed a motion requesting for the judge in the case to expedite the removal of her father, Jamie Spears, as conservator of her estate ahead of the scheduled meeting in September, People reported.

“Conservatee moves for the immediate suspension of James P. Spears as Conservator and the appointment of Jason Rubin as Temporary Conservator pending the hearing presently set for September 29, 2021,” the court filing reads.

“Although a two-month wait for a hearing on the Petition may not seem significant in the context of 13 years, Ms. Spears should not be forced to continue to feel traumatized, lose sleep, and suffer further. Every day matters.”

According to People, Britney wants Jason Rubin as her estate conservator “because he’s not just a regular CPA, but a forensic investigator CPA.”

“Basically he’s going to go back and look at all of the expenses and money that has been spent over the years. Britney‘s determined to find out if her funds have been misused,” a source told the outlet.

It was also reported that Britney‘s doctors agree that Jamie should be removed.

Earlier in the week, Britney revealed something soothing that she is doing for her social anxiety.
