Darksiders 3 Will Launch On Nintendo Switch In September
Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Gunfire Games will finally bring Darksiders III to the Nintendo Switch in on September 30. Released in November 2018, Darksiders III dropped players into the role of Fury, the third of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Gunfire Games supported the action-RPG for a while after its release, unleashing two separate post-launch DLC expansions. Soon enough, Switch fans will get to explore it all for themselves.
Come September 30, Nintendo Switch fans will finally have a chance to get their hands on Darksiders III. The RPG's Switch version bears a $39.99 price tag and is slated to launch digitally and at retail, THQ Nordic revealed in a press release. Plus, in addition to the main game, the package will also feature Darksiders III's two DLC offerings - Keepers of the Void and The Crucible.
Darksiders' first two entries were heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda; the third mainline installment, however, borrowed more from Metroidvania-styled experiences. Still, Fury's apocalyptic adventure should feel right at home on Nintendo's hybrid platform. And some Darksiders fans who own a Switch may have previously found themselves satiated with the release of Darksiders Genesis. A top-down RPG with hack-and-slash gameplay, Genesis brought Diablo-like mechanics to the world of Darksiders and even went on to perform above THQ Nordic's expectations.
Darksiders III is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One; the action-RPG will hit Nintendo Switch on September 30.
