Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is already filming new season just days after finale airs despite show’s low ratings
LEAH Messer is already back filming a new season of Teen Mom 2, just days after the MTV show’s finale aired.
The reality series will be back with new episodes despite its ratings plummeting last season to have its lowest viewers of all time.

She shared a clip of her “full house,” which included her kids getting ready to start school soon and a bunch of crew members.
“You guys ready,” Leah asked as she showed her kids and then panned over the producers and cameramen.
One of the crew members responded, “Yeah,” before a couple of them, all wearing masks, threw up peace signs for the camera.
Leah chuckled and enthusiastically replied: “What uppp?”
The next snippet featured two cameramen filming twins Aliannah and Aleeah, 11, sitting at a table with all of their supplies, including a backpack, notebooks, and binders.
“They’re ready for middle school,” the Teen Mom captioned it, as Taylor Swift’s August played in the background.
On Monday, Leah’s kids were now being filmed at the table eating breakfast, and the mother-of-three wrote: “Good morning.”
She shared a photo of her kids on their “first day of 6th grade,” as well, with Good, Good Day by Lady Bri playing as the soundtrack song.
The Ashley reported last month that higher-ups at MTV have fired some of Teen Mom 2’s well known producers due to the show’s low ratings.
An insider told the outlet that the producers have been axed due to the network feeling that they’re not doing their jobs, which is to get authentic stories from the cast.
The production source said: “The production company recently got in a lot of trouble because the ratings of the show are so bad.”
The ratings for the July 1 episode of Teen Mom 2 were underwhelming compared to the viewership the show used to bring in.
Additionally, the second half of season 10’s numbers have remained low since the season premiere.
Teen Mom 2 currently stars Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Briana DeJesus, Jade Cline and Ashley Jones.
Original star Chelsea Houska– who is the mother to Aubree, 11, Watson, four, Layne, two, and Walker, five months- quit the show in October, and the first season without her featured lower viewership.
Ratings plummeted once Chelsea left the MTV series, with the May 4 premiere bringing in just 663,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.
Ratings went down to the lowest of all time for the May 11 episode, as only 507,000 tuned in.
To compare, the September 1, 2020 premiere for part one of Season 10 had 806,000 viewers.
Chelsea revealed last fall that she was leaving the show as she wanted more privacy for her kids and to have more control over what fans saw of her personal life.
She shared with followers on Instagram: “MTV’s Teen Mom 2 has been a big part of my life for almost 11 years. After much thought and discussion with my family and friends, Cole and I have decided that this season will be our last.
“We are forever thankful to MTV and our crew, who are like family to us. We’re parting on the best of terms and will stay in touch long after this. We’re proud to have been able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning.

She ended the statement: “Our next chapter in life will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new endeavors and expanding family businesses. Please tune into our last moments on the show and continue to follow along our journey on social media.”
“We are so excited for this next phase of our lives and hope you all will be a part of it in some way!”
