The Weeknd Will Not Be Submitted for Grammys Consideration (Report)

Don’t expect to see any Grammy Award nominations for The Weeknd.

The 31-year-old “Take My Breath” superstar’s label, Republic Records, is not submitting his music for Grammys consideration in any category, Hits Daily Double reported Tuesday (August 31).

“Many insiders thought the superstar would have a shot at top-tier recognition for single ‘Save Your Tears’ or in some sort of make-good capacity, but it’s clear that there’s little taste in his camp for going there,” the outlet reported.

If you didn’t know, The Weeknd‘s After Hours was completely snubbed from the 2021 Grammys nominations list, and earlier in the year, he revealed his intention to boycott the music award show forever as a result.
