Why Leeds SHOULD finish 19th...
It's not transfer fees, or manager, or history, or size of stadium. It's the wage bill. A previous study suggested that the success of a Premier League club is 85% determined by the wages they pay.

And where do Leeds stand in that table? Well second last, according to this...

Now, I'd be sceptical about their information, I wonder is Leeds wage bill really so well oustripped by Burnley, Brighton, Watford and Norwich. But even if it is broadly right, it suggests that what Leeds did last year really was a miracle, and insisting that the club repeat it, or do even better, is unrealistic. The only reason it happened at all is because we have God on the sidelines, and as long as he keeps conjuring up miracles more money comes in and the wage bill grows. But we need to rein in demands, ignoring all the stats and common sense and saying the club has to do better.
