Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 star Lexi Wilson addresses her social media haters and claims that Bravo is allowing fans to harass her online.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 star Lexi Wilson is blasting her haters for constantly harassing her on social media, all while blaming Bravo for allowing this kind of behavior to take place. The second stew has been receiving backlash since day one, but Bravo's official social media pages for Below Deck have yet to address this issue. While some fans are calling Lexi the Below Deck Med season 6 villain, she surely doesn't deserve to receive this treatment on social media.
While the rest of the new crew on Below Deck Mediterranean was hitting it off, Lexi seemed to struggle after her inappropriate outburst with Lloyd Spencer. She was unable to forge a real meaningful connection with her co-workers as many of them found her to be fake. The issues started when Lexi crossed the line, literally, and stepped into chef Matthew Shea's dirt pile. The beauty pageant winner had ignored his warnings and acted as if she were above the rules. Lexi's problems worsened after she found herself having issues with more than one crew member. Since then, the Below Deck Med crew has mistrusted Lexi. In turn, fans have been feeding off their hatred of her.
This week, Lexi brought awareness to the hatred she's been receiving from Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 fans and shared her concerns on social media. In a new Instagram post, the young stew wrote that she doesn't "care for internet thugs" or the death threats she has been receiving from reality TV fans. Lexi also pointed out that the official social media accounts from Bravo have yet to address the online harassment she's faced. The yachtie revealed that accounts like @Bravotv and @BelowDeckMedBravo use their position to help the "lunatics" feel empowered. Check out her post below.
Some of the things that Below Deck Mediterranean fans have called out Lexi for aren't necessarily her biggest issue. Instead, Lexi's major concern is that Bravo is seemingly encouraging haters to express their disdain for a person who's being edited to look like the "villain" of the season. As of this writing, none of Lexi's Below Deck Med co-stars have commented on her post. On the other hand, several commenters agreed that Bravo has been dropping the ball when it comes to addressing hateful speech.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 6 viewers are still enjoying the show. Meanwhile, Lexi is clearly trying her best to turn over a new leaf. Even though the entire interior crew has been stripped of ranks, the girls are trying to move forward. Lexi has left yachting behind after Below Deck Med, but her supporters will be hoping that Bravo starts to speak up on behalf of cast members who deal with online harassment.
