Hugh Jackman’s father Chris dead at 84 as actor son calls him ‘extraordinary’
HUGH Jackman’s father Chris passed away at the age of 84 as the X-Men actor called him “extraordinary.”
Hugh tweeted: “In the early hours of Father’s Day (AU), my Dad peacefully passed away. And whilst there is deep sadness, I’m filled with such gratitude and love.
“My Dad was, in a word, extraordinary. He devoted his life to his family, his work, and his faith. I pray he’s now at peace with God.”

Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds stated: “I was lucky to have met him.”
Australian radio presenter/comedian Michael “Wippa” Wipfli added: “Sending all our love.”

THE SINGLE FATHER
The Prestige actor and his two brothers, Ian and Ralph, were raised by Christopher in Sydney, according to TMZ.
Hugh was about eight years old when his mother had left for her home country of England.
Christopher was a single father left to care for his kids.
Hugh’s sisters, Zoe and Sonya, lived in England with their mother.
Though he has reconciled with his mother, Hugh had described the divorce: “It was traumatic. I thought she was probably going to come back. And then it sort of dragged on and on.”
The Wolverine actor recently shared a snapshot with his father on Instagram.
He wrote: “My Father taught me to always keep my promises.
“Even if it turns out that there’s a better option or something that will benefit me more. Be true to your word.”
WITH THE WIFE
Back in July, Hugh and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 64, shad gone off to the Hamptons along with their two dogs.
Hugh had gone shirtless as he showed off his impressive abs, while wearing black swim shorts and white shoes.
While he cooled off in the water and stretched out on the beach, Deborra wore a black one-piece bathing suit.
As the couple left, she covered herself up and wore a black T-shirt, black pants, sunglasses and a hat.
The couple’s two dogs also joined in on the fun and enjoyed their time on the beach.
The movie star married the actress/producer on April 1996 in Toorak, Victoria.
In addition to raising their adorable pups, the couple share two adopted children: Oscar, 20, and Ava, 15.
