[Men's Cross Country] Alvarez Paces SXU in Men's Cross Country Season Opener

Channahon, Ill. – Senior David Alvarez (Orland Park, Ill./Moraine Valley/Sandburg) finished 39th overall and 22nd in scoring with a time of 16:28.6 to help lead the Saint Xavier University men's cross country team to a 4th place finish at the St. Francis Twilight Invite at Channahon Community Park in Channahon, Ill. Friday evening. It was the first cross country meet for the men's team since the 2019 NAIA National Championships on November 22, 2019, as the Cougars didn't compete during the 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
