iPhone 13 Colors & Storage Options Just Leaked - Here They Are
Apple is just days away from the launch of its next smartphone series, but a Ukrainian retailer has purportedly leaked details about the iPhone 13’s color options as well as storage versions. At this point, leakers have spoiled a lot of details about the iPhone 14 series, such as improved battery life and wireless charging, and wider mmWave 5G support to name a few. A key design change is that the notch will reportedly be smaller and thinner, but the rest of the build will be a familiar ‘glass and metal slab with sharp edges’ affair.
Thanks to leaked dummy units and concept-based renders making the rounds on social media, the lens placement on the vanilla iPhone 12 and its mini variant will be slightly different. Instead of a vertically aligned dual-camera array, the two camera lenses have been positioned diagonally this time. For the Pro models, the width of the camera island has reportedly gone up and the camera lens rings have also increased in footprint. However, Apple is not doing anything dramatic in the color option department, it seems.
Ukrainian retail website KTC listed the entire iPhone 13 series before pulling the listings down again, albeit not before screenshots were taken. The product images were actually placeholders, but the storage options and colors were clearly mentioned in each listing. Starting with the storage capacity, the listings mention 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB — but no 1TB storage option. Just like the iPhone 12 series, the iPhone 13 and its mini sibling will hit the shelves in six color options, while the Pro models will be up for grabs in a choice of four.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini were spotted on the website in black, blue, purple, pink, white, and PRODUCT (RED) colors. If correct, then pink looks set to be the new shade this year, replacing the light green trim seen on the iPhone 12 series. Coming to the iPhone 13 Pro and its supersized Max version, they will be available in black, bronze, gold and silver. The black and bronze tints are the fresh color options for Apple's next-generation phones and replace the graphite and pacific blue shades seen on the iPhone 12 Pro duo. If these details are accurate, then that’s all the aesthetic tweaks that buyers should expect with the iPhone 13 series.
For reference, the internal upgrades appear to be the showstopper for Apple's upcoming phones. Aside from the battery and wireless charging improvements, the iPhone 13 series will come equipped with the latest A-series processor that should further widen the performance gap with Qualcomm-based Android phones. The wide-angle camera is said to have been upgraded as well, and the sensor-shift image stabilization tech that has remained exclusive to the iPhone 12 Pro Max is being extended to more models. A handful of new iPhone camera tricks, such as ‘Cinematic Video’ for shooting videos with a portrait blur effect, are also rumored to be in the pipeline as well.
