Racing tips: Templegate NAPS 5-1 shot at Haydock who will relish longer distance under Hayley Turner

TEMPLEGATE is in cracking form right now and is back with his selections on a busy Sunday.

Hayley Turner keeps the ride after going close at Pontefract last time.

She finished off well over the six-furlong trip there and may have won with a clearer run. Stepping up in distance can bring improvement and the handicapper has left her mark alone.

LIBBY AMI (6.00 Haydock, nb)

She has done really well since joining in-form trainer Grant Tuer. She was a gutsy winner up the hill at Carlisle over this trip before a close third on the all-weather at Newcastle last time.

The handicapper hasn’t gone mad and she’s only 3lb higher than her last win. That gives her a good chance to strike again.

EMARATY HERO (6.55 Haydock, treble).

He caught the eye with a good Musselburgh win two runs ago before leaving that form behind with an impressive strike at York last month.

He takes a fair hike in distance here but shapes like a stayer and is off the same mark because his Knavesmire success was an apprentices’ race.
