Rays place SS Wander Franco (hamstring) on IL

The Tampa Bay Rays placed shortstop Wander Franco on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain Saturday and recalled shortstop Taylor Walls from Triple-A Durham.

Franco, 20, was injured in the first inning of Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers and immediately was removed. He extended his on-base streak to 39 games with a single, then felt discomfort in his leg after going from first to third on a Nelson Cruz
