[Volleyball] Six earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for SSU volleyball
The volleyball program at Shawnee State set a program record for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honorees Wednesday as six players, including Bella Gill, Maria Kolinoff, Macie Rhoads, Alexis Palazzo, Maddie Payne, and Nashail Shelby were all honored by the association as part of NAIA National Awards Day.
Palazzo, who already holds a bachelor's degree at Shawnee State and has spent the last year in SSU's highly competitive occupational therapy program, has a perfect 4.0 GPA as a graduate student currently. Shelby graduated with a GPA north of 3.85 in just three years' time in the radiologic technology program and is currently taking a full-time credit load of classes following the attainment of her bachelor's degree.
