RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Reveals Her Future Plans After Leaving The Show
Cynthia Bailey discusses the next steps of her life after leaving The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. The alum started on the franchise 11 years ago, during season 3. At the time, she was rekindling her modeling career and preparing for a wedding with Peter Thomas, which was shown in the season. She is considered one of the kindest housewives in the franchise, and many of her fellow castmates claimed this was her biggest fault.
Much has changed for Cynthia in the last decade. She was a guest judge on Miss Universe. She has her own line of candles, bags, eyewear and leather goods, and she started a wine bar called The Bailey Wine Cellar. She has a new husband now, Mike Hill, who is a correspondent at Fox Sports. Although many things have changed in her life, she is still a model and actor, and has appeared in various films and TV shows, including The Cosby Show.
In an video with Page Six, Cynthia discussed her future plans after leaving the show. In a CB Vior sweatsuit, she said she wants to pursue many goals beyond Bravo. She will continue her career in acting, as well as producing and directing. Cynthia has “a million projects” in mind with her husband Mike. The Atlanta alum is also starring in the new spin-off series called The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, which features Kenya Moore, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Melissa Gorga. The show will air on Peacock, and was filmed in Turks and Caicos. Cynthia said her experience with the other women was “amazing."
Though she feels good about her time on RHOA, Cynthia explained in the Page Six video that everything must eventually end. She appreciates her relationship with NBC and Bravo, and it will be weird for Cynthia not to return to the next season. Even so, she said she’s still looking forward to the next chapter of her life, whatever that may be. Right now, she’s taking some time to process all the changes. “Everything is still marinating,” she commented. Now that she’s finished with RHOA, she plans on spending more time in Los Angeles, but she expressed that she would come back to the show if she ever felt regrets.
Many other cast members have returned to the Real Housewives after leaving for several seasons. NeNe Leakes returned nearly two years after she departed from RHOA, and stayed until season 13. Shereé Whitfield came back after four seasons away. Fans of RHOA will undoubtedly hope that Cynthia returns as well, but only time will tell if this is truly the end.
In either case, viewers will see Cynthia again. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 is already filming, although season 1 still hasn’t aired on Peacock. The show will feature all the fan favorites of the franchise, and explore how they will intermingle (or not). Based on her track record on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Cynthia will most likely be the peacemaker in the group.
