[Women's Soccer] Saints Fall 2-1 at Home

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women's soccer team hosted St. Ambrose this morning in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. A very slow start between Holy Cross and St. Ambrose as no goals were scored in the first 45 minutes played. Second half started with rain for the first half of play. Holy Cross scored first with a goal by Kassidi Puthoff assisted by Olivia Shaw off a corner kick. St. Ambrose recorded two goals in less than five minutes of play one was by Genevieve Bowyer assisted by Mary Evans off a corner kick. Then other goal by Kaitlyn Brunson with the game winning goal for St. Ambrose. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 8-3-1 and 5-2 in conference play, while St. Ambrose moves to 7-4 and 5-2 in conference play.
