90 Day Fiancé: Brandon Gibbs Called Out For Animal Cruelty On Instagram
Fans slammed 90 Day Fiancé star Brandon Gibbs for animal cruelty when he posted a recent photo of himself swimming with dolphins in Jamaica. The Virginia resident and his wife, Russian dancer Julia Trubkina, recently took a vacation, which they documented on social media. Brandon and Julia have been called out several times for their TikTok videos and other social media posts in the past.
After their debut on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, fans saw Brandon and Julia again when they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. The American and Russian couple was initially a fan-favorite because of their unusual storyline, which involved the former go-go dancer moving from Russia to live with Brandon and his parents on their farm in Virginia. Throughout the season, Brandon's parents were portrayed as being very controlling and forcing Julia to work on their farm for free. Fans sympathized with Julia at first, but sympathy for the couple quickly faded during the Tell-All when Julia revealed that she actually chose to do farm work so that she would be able to spend more time with Brandon. Since this revelation, many 90 Day Fiancé viewers are no longer fans of the couple. The two have since moved out of the farm and into their own apartment.
Recently, Brandon posted a photo on Instagram showing him swimming in a pool in Jamaica while holding onto the fins of two dolphins. His caption stated that he wanted to "bring one home" so his dog, Simba, could have a "sibling." Several of the commenters on the post slammed Brandon for animal cruelty. One commenter explained that he once paid for a trip for his family to swim with dolphins, only to learn a month later that the dolphin passed away "from too much human contact." Another commenter referred to Brandon as "disgusting," adding that his "lack of empathy is impeccable." A third commenter encouraged Brandon to instead use his platform to educate his followers on the conditions that dolphins and other sea animals are subjected to in facilities such as the one he attended.
On Instagram, Julia also posted a similar picture on of her dolphin experience during their Jamaica trip. Additionally, she commented on her husband's photo, replying to what he said in his caption about bringing home a dolphin to be a sibling for their dog. The Russian reality TV star left heart emojis and said, "Simba [would] be happy." Someone replied to Julia's comment, stating, "Unlike the dolphins."
Swimming with dolphins is not the only thing this couple is doing that has been upsetting fans. 90 Day Fiancé viewers also recently slammed Julia for not wanting to move back to the farm despite Brandon's father's health problems. Brandon and Julia are quickly making their way to be one of the franchise's most controversial couples.
