IPL 2021: Virat Kohli Hails MS Dhoni After CSK Beat DC in Qualifier 1, Calls Him ‘Greatest Finisher’
Dubai: MS Dhoni turned back the clock to take Chennai Super Kings through to the final with a win over Delhi Capitals on Sunday. A six-ball 18 cameo was ensured CSK went over the line in a tight game. RCB captain Virat Kohli, who has played a lot under Dhoni’s leadership, hailed the CSK skipper as the ‘greatest finisher’.
Kohli took to Twitter to praise Dhoni. His post read: “Anddddd the king is back the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight.”

Dhoni credited the fans and the support staff for being there with the team in difficult times. Dhoni said at the post-match presentation: “It’s the full team (effort). It was tough when we didn’t qualify last time. Emotions were quite high. Forget what has happened till now, we wanted to make the most of the 3-4 games left towards the end. Credit goes to the support staff and everyone in the team. Without their character, you can’t really come back like this.”
Kohli, not that long ago, announced that he would step down as RCB captain at the end of this season. He would like to sign off on a high. They have had a good season and they would hope they can go all the way.
Meanwhile, RCB will take on KKR in the Eliminator today and that promises to be a humdinger. KKR has got the better of the Kohli-led side in the UAE leg.
