Tustin, from Solihull, met Arthur’s dad Thomas Hughes through the Plenty of Fish dating website.
At the age of 14 she was reprimanded over a brawl with another girl and at the age of 16 was cautioned for shoplifting.
At 17 she had her first child before a second came along just two years later.
In total she has had four children with three different men.

Speaking to the Mail the father of one of Tustin’s offspring described the 32-year-old as a “black widow.”
He said: “She had no maternal instinct whatsoever. She wanted children for the attention they brought her as newborns, and for the child benefit.
“She gets pregnant very quickly after starting a relationship because it gives her a degree of control over the man.”
Revealing that she had a long history of isolating her partners from friends and family he added: “She sucks the life out of each man she gets together with.”
The little boy had been poisoned by the sick couple as they subjected him to a “campaign of cruelty” that matched the “medical definition of child torture.”
The “off the charts” levels of salt in his body were so high that medics believed their equipment was broken.
In the hours before he was fatally attacked, Arthur had eaten at least 34g of salt – the equivalent of six spoons worth.
Chillingly, he was so weak from the poisoning that he couldn’t even put up a fight against Tustin when she battered him.
Arthur was isolated, poisoned and starved in his final months before twisted Tustin’s fatal attack where she banged his head repeatedly against a hard surface.
Tustin was pregnant with Hughes’ baby when she violently attacked Arthur, undergoing an abortion in custody at 21 weeks.
It has now been revealed prisoners gave Tustin a taste of her own medicine by spiking her meals with salt at Eastwood Park Prison in Gloucestershire.
Her former cellmate of six weeks, Elaine Pritchard, told The Sunday Mirror: “Some of the things we did were cruel – but she was crueller to Arthur so she deserved it.”
She also said that the cowardly step-mum lied to inmates, claiming she was in prison because Arthur’s dad Hughes “neglected” his son.
“Emma hadn’t said anything about Arthur dying. She never mentioned him.”
How long will Emma Tustin be in prison for?
Tustin was sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to serve a minimum of 29 years.
However, the “lenient” sentences given to both Tustin and Hughes have been referred to the Attorney General.
His “pitiless” dad Hughes was caged for 21 years after being found guilty of manslaughter.
They will then be considered under the unduly lenient scheme and could be increased.
The government has launched a major review into the circumstances leading up to Arthur’s death to determine what improvements need to be made by the agencies that came into contact with him in the months before he died.
They have separately commissioned four inspectorates, covering social care, health, police and probation to undertake an urgent inspection of the safeguarding agencies in Solihull to whom Arthur was known.
The independent, national review will also identify the lessons that must be learnt from Arthur’s case for the benefit of other children.
