Halo Infinite Steaktacular: What It Means & How To Get It
When it comes to unique achievements, few can rival Halo Infinite's Steaktacular in how special it is to get and what it means. The Steaktacular designation has a long history and makes a long-awaited return to Halo Infinite that newer players might scratch their heads wondering about it. As much as Steaktacular is a fun achievement to aim for, getting it can be difficult if players don't have a few tricks up their sleeves for Halo Infinite multiplayer.
To bring up Steaktacular to veteran Halo players means diving into the history back to Halo 3. The origin of Steaktacular has to do with a bet made during a weekly Bungie competition where a cow was the winning prize. 343 Industries has decided to bring the achievement back for Halo Infinite, complete with an epic medal that looks like a steak and fork.
There are several difficult medals to earn in Halo Infinite other than the Steaktacular medal with Mythic Medals taking the cake. For example, players can show off their sniping skills with the Quigley medal, where players have to snipe two players with one bullet. Another example of a challenging Mythic medal is the Fastball medal, where players have to kill an opponent with the impact of a grenade and not its explosion.
Getting the Steaktacular Medal in Halo Infinite is no small task, and a lot has to go the team's way to get it. The game isn't too clear about getting the medal because it only says to dominate a team and win. Getting the Steaktacular medal has two steps. The first step is that the team has to win their Halo Infinite multiplayer match. The second step of getting Steaktacular is that the losing team must have less than 60% of the number of kills.
To illustrate the 60% threshold, if a team wins a match 50-29, that means the point percentage is less than 60%, and the winning team's players get the Steaktacular achievement. Also, players find out at the end of the match if they reached the threshold when the announcer says Steaktacular at the end. Another surefire way to know if players have gotten the achievement to trigger is that the medal will appear in the menu with the final point totals and other awards. After getting the Steaktacular medal, players can highlight the achievement itself to show the description of what was needed to get it.
Halo Infinite multiplayer is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
