Marvel’s Avengers Shipments Guide (How to Get Outfits, Units, & Upgrades)
Marvel's Avengers Shipments is the new feature for using in-game currency to unlock new content. Players were looking for a way to gain cosmetics in the Marvel's Avengers game, that didn't require any purchases. Developers Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix answered with the 2.2 version update. Now, players are hustling through the game, finding ways to farm units and unlock exclusive specialty suits for their teams.
Throughout the game, players will earn units from pretty much everything. The units are then used to either purchase items individually from the marketplace, or in bulk via the shipments tab. Marvel's Avengers shipments are easy to obtain at only 500 units each.
Players can expand their collections of Hero content with shipments but they have to keep up with the refresh timings. Specialty items like the Wakandan Stealth outfit will be available for about a month. Shipment items like nameplates and gear are available for 24 hours or until unlocked. In this sense promo codes, like in Marvel Future Revolution, aren't needed, but there is still a challenge to earn enough units in the time frame.
Players can get outfits three different ways in Marvel's Avengers. At the beginning screen or in-game, there is a Marketplace menu. The marketplace holds a ton of costumes for each hero in Marvel's Avengers. Another way to get outfits is from shipments. Find the shipments tab under the character section in the touchpad menu. These costumes will be randomized and the shipment stock changes daily or when purchased, so only the items listed under Current Stock will be available in the current shipment.
Lastly, outfits are discovered as specialty items to unlock. Specialty item outfits are rare collectibles that can only be obtained through shipments. Players may consistently purchase shipments in hopes to unlock the outfit, but like Guardian's of the Galaxy Lottery tickets, there's no telling when it will unlock. Either way, the player is guaranteed to get the outfit after buying 100 shipments.
Units are the in-game currency used to purchase perks and content in Marvel's Avengers. Players can earn units by completing actions in the game, like defeating bosses and completing objectives. Pretty much everything done during gameplay will earn units, and they may also be purchased using real currency in the marketplace as part of bundles.
Upgrade modules are essential for reworking gears to a higher power level. As part of the 2.2 update, Marvel's Avengers heroes can now achieve a power level of 175 and the highest level gear is won in the Klaw Raid gameplay. Here are a few different places to find upgrade modules:
- Rare Strongboxes
- Villain Threat Sectors
- Elite Hives
- Faction Shops
- Completing Challenge Cards
These shipments improve on a looting problem common with games, where players don't know what they're buying. But developers manage to keep the challenge in Marvel's Avengers whilst offering players these rewards. Players are enticed to complete objectives and excel in the game to earn content.
Marvel's Avengers is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, and Google Stadia
