Video: Ex-Spurs star admits there is ‘question mark’ over whether he was right to leave
Jurgen Klinsmann has spoken about Harry Kane’s future and the decision that he himself had to make while he was at Tottenham.
Kane missed out on a move to Manchester City in the summer and the striker has fallen well short of his usual standards so far this season, having found the back of the net just once in the Premier League this season.
Klinsmann stated he had to make a similar decision in 1995 when Bayern Munich came calling, admitting that he left to win trophies.
However, the German, who later returned to Spurs for a second spell, has said that he is unsure whether his decision to leave White Hart Lane was the right one given how much he enjoyed playing for the North London club.
Watch what Klinsmann told Sky Sports below:
Should Harry Kane leave #THFC to win trophies before the end of his career?

Spurs Web Opinion
Every player wants to win trophies in their careers and become the best players they can be. However, I do think the notion that players, when they look back on their careers, only cherish the silverware that they won, is completely wrong.
Despite not winning any trophies at Spurs, Klinsmann is still remembered very fondly by Spurs fans and he himself evidently looks back at his time at the club with a lot of fondness.
I feel the same will be true of Kane when he retires. Rather than being one of many players who won the Premier League title at a club like City, he will be revered a lot more if he stayed loyal to his boyhood club and wins just a League Cup or a FA Cup.
