US Navy vessel rushed away from Crimean coast after one salvo from missile boat Shuya
The Russian missile boat Shuya has spooked a US Navy ship. It was about to approach the Crimean peninsula when it heard a salvo from a Russian vessel, which was engaged in training maneuvers at the time
The Chinese publication Baijiahao reported that not long ago the US destroyer Arleigh Burke was in the Black Sea, where it was carrying out another mission. Russian Black Sea Fleet forces monitored the actions of the USS Arleigh Burke. At one point it attempted to approach Crimea, but the Russian missile boat Shuya prevented it from doing so.
“The actions of the Russian missile boat took the US warship by surprise”, – the journalists wrote.
The Russian Navy ship practised engaging sea and air targets using a standard AK-176 artillery system and the Pantsir-M surface-to-air missile and artillery system. The Americans were not prepared for this and after the first salvo from the Russian vessel they immediately took flight.
Observers noted that the sudden missile launch put a lot of pressure on the American soldiers. Immediately after it, the American ship decided to flee and not wait for the first warning from Russia to be followed by another one. It would no longer be so soft.
