British expert Holland stated that T-34 was not the best tank of World War II
British historian James Hollande has said that the best tank of World War II was the American Sherman M4, forgetting about the success of the Soviet T-34
According to the expert, the US Sherman M4 tank had a small size that allowed for high speed and also had a low weight. Holland added that it could be easily mass produced: that is why the American tank was most often used by the Western allies.
Notably, German tank ace Otto Karius calls “the most dangerous enemy” not the Sherman M4, but the Soviet T-34 tank. According to the Western military expert Henry Kalsell, the T-34 had a revolutionary design for its time and played a key role in the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany.
