Inside Amanda Holden’s girls weekend away in Sussex with Lisa Faulkner, Tamzin Outwaite and Angela Griffin
CHRISTMAS holidays abroad may be off the cards for some of us – but that didn’t stop Amanda Holden heading for a staycation with her closest pals.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge was spotted on girls’ holiday at a sea-front location on the south coast of England alongside some of her famous pals.
Amanda, 50, took to Instagram over the weekend with plenty of snaps and videos from her trip, where she was seen stripping down to a swimsuit in the cold sea.
She was joined by a group of pals including EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite, Emmerdale’s Nicola Stephenson and TV chef Lisa Faulkner.
Bancroft actress Sarah Parish and BBC Radio 2 host Angela Griffin also joined the group of women for their weekend away to the coast.
The friends have all met through various TV and radio roles over the years – with Amanda and Sarah, 53, becoming friends in the noughties filming for Cutting It.
The presenter and her pals all shared insights into their trip to the South Downs, West Sussex – from spa treatments to cosy nights in and elaborate dinners.
One of the evenings, the women hosted a dinner party, where Prosecco and cocktails were flowing freely throughout the night.
They watched a firework display in the back garden of the stunning home they had rented for their short stay – which featured seaside views.
While a second evening saw them getting cosy in their accommodation, donning colourful pyjamas to post for a picture together.

Amanda turned the snap into a mock-up Rolling Stones cover, which she posted to Instagram, gushing she hadn’t stopped “laughing, dancing and talking”.
During the days, Amanda and her pals enjoyed wholesome activities including wintry walks and visiting a pub in the town of Arundel for lunch.
Actress Sarah posted a snap from the pub lunch, showing the group smiling wide for the camera as they sat round a table.
Another snap saw the women turned away from the camera in their pyjamas as they took in the stunning views of their seafront apartment.
Meanwhile, celebrity chef Lisa followed up with a number of selfies from their trip, as she gushed to fans about their staycation being “a tonic”.
“Going away with the girls was the best tonic and something we all needed,” she wrote. “To laugh and chat and eat and drink and swim and dance.”
While away, Amanda took to her Instagram stories to show herself and her pals bravely getting into the sea during freezing cold weather.
A COLD DIP
Amanda was filmed advertising Marks and Spencer’s new gin as she told fans she was going “into the sea on a cold December day”.
The mother-of-two threw off her towel to reveal her toned body in a cut-out swimsuit as she struck an enthusiastic pose for the camera.
The camera continued rolling as she took off her boots and grabbed her friends by the hands before getting in the sea in a second clip.
Amanda and her celebrity pals – who had all donned wet suits for their chilly dip – could be heard laughing and screaming as they ran in.
Hit by the waves, Amanda was immediately pushed to the floor and submerged into the freezing water before running out to collect her towel.
“When your girls have booked a Christmas trip and you have looked forward to it for months and then the day arrives,” she captioned the sweet video.
“It’s everything I wanted and needed at that very time. I am so lucky to have these ridiculously incredible women in my life.”
