My ‘worst date ever’ said he hated my outfit & tried to make me buy new clothes – he was embarrassed to be seen with me
EVER been on a dating app? Then you’ll know there’s only so much you can learn about a person from their carefully-curated profile.
That’s right, the REAL getting to know each other stage begins with the first date – where you judge everything from their taste in food to their personal style.
But while most people have the good sense to keep their opinions to themselves, one woman has blasted the guy who had the cheek to shame her outfit.
Earlier this year, TikToker Holly Auna responded to a viral trend where people were revealed the “most sexist or insulting” anyone has ever said to them on a first date.
Explaining how this example lives “rent-free” in her memory, Holly said she met a guy she was interested in at their local shopping centre.
She said: “On this date, I was wearing a super cute tie-dye tank top and really ripped up jeans.”

But while she was happy and comfortable in her choice of outfit, Holly’s date couldn’t help but made a snide dig.
She continued: “Walking around the mall, the first thing he says is ‘I really hate when girls wear ripped jeans.’

“I was like, ‘okay…'”
And if that wasn’t bad enough, he then marched her into a shop and pointed out the clothes he prefers.
Holly added: “He took me to stores and showed me how he wants me to dress.”
Pointing out stereotypically “preppy” outfits, the man then told her: “I think you’d look really good if you dressed like this.”
Needless to say, the date ended shortly after and Holly claimed they “never talked again” afterwards.
“For the record, I don’t think there is ANYTHING wrong with dressing preppy as it’s super cute,” she added. “Just don’t try to tell people how to dress.
“Especially when they didn’t ask your opinion, especially on a first date.”
Unsurprisingly, viewers were equally as horrified by the man’s comments.
One asked: “Did he think you were a doll?”
Another added: “The audacity!!!”
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Tell me he gave you a red flag vibe without telling me he gave you a red flag vibe.”
For more relationship horror stories, this woman’s Tinder date took her back to his flat but his bathroom revealed a grim secret.
And this woman spent £176 on her boyfriend’s Uber account after she saw him ‘cheating’ on Facetime – the truth was VERY different.
Plus this woman went on a date with a guy who ordered tonnes of food & expected HER to pay 50/50– even though she only had a salad.
